The Nanocepts partnership with Deutsche Steinzeug America Ceramics (DSA Inc.) is an innovative venture bringing Hydrotect coated photocatalysis tiles to everyday life. Used in areas where stringent hygiene is critical, these photocatalytic tiles are extremely useful for their inherent properties leading to the decomposition of bacteria, fungi, and germs while preventing the development of new toxins. In keeping with the hygienic properties, the Hydrotect coated tiles are easy to clean using less cleaning materials and labor, helping to reduce costs while protecting the environment.
The Hydrotect tiles are coated with a Ti02 material applied during the glazing stage of tile production and then baked onto the surface making the coating an integral part of the finished tiles. The special photocatalytic surface is activated by normal indoor lighting levels which render the coating permanent. This process also ensures that the tiles are odor-free with no health risks associated with other toxic or irritating substances.
Hydrotect tiles are as beautiful as they are functional too. Available in a wide range of sizes, colors, and surface structures, Hydrotect tiles may be used on walls, floors, facades, and other surfaces as creative solutions to functional areas.
